Get Ready for Labor Day 2019

Another year, and another thrilling Labor Day is on the horizon. As you’re searching tirelessly for a new community to rent an apartment in San Francisco, don’t forget to make a few plans for squeezing the maximum amount of enjoyment out of the holiday. If you don’t already have plans, allow us to provide you with a bit of inspiration, courtesy of these fine events coming up on Labor Day and the preceding weekend.

Catch a Baseball Game

Like many a summer holiday, Labor Day goes hand in hand with baseball, and it turns out that this Labor Day, you’ll be able to catch the San Francisco Giants playing some home games over at Oracle Park On August 30th through September 1st. It’ll make for the perfect lead-in to Labor Day, so if you love watching the Major Leagues, be sure to keep your hometown heroes in mind for the holidays.

Head to the Sausalito Art Festival

Just north of the city, in good-old Sausalito at the Marinship Park, the 2019 installment of the Sausalito Art Festival will be taking place right along with Labor Day, August 31st through September 2nd. Just what will you be able to expect at this fine event? There will be plenty of art and enthusiasts out and about, so if you want to show the local creative communities some support, this will be the stop for you.

Enjoy a Free Theatrical Performance

Are you a fan of skilled thespians showing off the full range of their talents? If so, then some free Shakespeare in the park might be just what you need to make Labor Day Weekend exciting. The holiday will feature three showings of As You Like it, courtesy of the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. You can catch the shows on the Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of Labor Day weekend, all at 2:00PM, and all taking place at the Presidio’s Main Post Parade Ground Lawn.

Check out the Asian Art Museum

Have you paid the Asian Art Museum on Larkin Street a visit lately? It’s one of the city’s most well-respected bastions for enshrining Asian arts and cultures, and has one of the largest and most complete collections in the world. For Labor Day Weekend, they’d like to show some thanks to the community (and give people a chance to check out what they’ve been missing) by offering free admission on Sunday. Get there early, because it’ll be first come, first serve!
