So, without further interruption, we will now discuss some San Francisco Valentine’s Day hotspots. Take a look at the information we provide, see which places sound appealing to you and your Valentine, and make reservations or just pop on by when the big day arrives.

1. Barhopping on Valentine’s Day in San Francisco

When you think about barhopping on Valentine’s Day, does it make you feel good inside? Or do you feel like it’s the wrong day to go out drinking with your better half? If you answered yes to the first question, then you’re definitely in luck because there are plenty of great bars – in fact entire streets – to visit this year on February 14.

So if you’re wondering which parts of San Francisco to hit up on Saint Valentine’s favorite holiday, we’ve got you covered. Some of the best streets for barhopping in SF include the following:

Union Street – we highly recommend visiting Union Street in the Marina District. It’s a great treat to visit if you’re looking for a casual college vibe. While this certainly isn’t going to be the most romantic place in the world, they have lots of cool local watering holes and sports bars in the neighborhood, so you’ll definitely have lots of fun. Plus, the Bus Stop local dive bar is in this neighborhood and that’s always a fun time. It has been around for a while and it’s definitely an entertaining place. Bar None, the Brick Yard, and West Coast Wine and Cheese are also a few other excellent places to visit while hanging out here on Valentine’s Day.

Valencia Street – this is the bohemian section of San Francisco and it’s the official party zone of the Mission District. There are truly some incredible bars to visit in the area and many cozy places with live music as well. Some of our favorite local watering holes on Valencia Street include Skylark, Blondies, the Elbo Room, the Chapel, and many other sports bars, lounges, and bars playing live music.

Castro Street – it’s the official home of the LGBTQ community, so you’ll really appreciate the nightlife and all the exciting things happening in this part of San Francisco. It’s perfect to visit on Valentine’s Day if you’re in the mood to do some barhopping, people watching, and so much more. If you want to get up and dance, we highly recommend visiting The Café. Other excellent hotspots include Hi Tops, Moby Dick, and Lookout to name a few of the area’s most popular favorites.

Clearly, there’s a perfect bar or an entire city block for everyone to visit on Valentine’s Day or any other day of the year in San Francisco. Check out our recommendations and you will not be steered wrong.

2. Experience a Wonderful Valentine’s Day Cruise in San Francisco

If you’re getting tired of doing the same old thing on Valentine’s Day, maybe it’s time to go on a cruise with your better half, your spouse and kids, or anyone else you may consider an important part of your life on this special day.

Each year on Valentine’s Day leaving from Pier 3 in San Francisco, you can go on a three hour cruise hosted by Aphrodite. This premier cruise includes a four course meal, premium drinks at the bar, and stimulating and memorable conversation, dancing, and a whole lot more on this amazing cruise ship. Each guest pays under $200 for this excellent experience, so it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking to create a memorable night that you’ll never forget.

3. Take a Trip to the San Francisco Zoo This Valentine’s Day

This may seem like a strange place to take your better half on Valentine’s Day, but it’s actually one of the more memorable and interesting things to do in this amazing city. Each year on Valentine’s Day, the San Francisco Zoo hosts their annual sex tour, and it’s a truly unique event.

While here, you’ll be able to go on the Lover’s Stroll and see happy animal couples spending time together. Plus, you can even look at the mates and their families and other popular exhibits.

4. The Great San Francisco Valentine’s Day Pillow Fight

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. We really did say that San Francisco hosts a pillow fight every year on Valentine’s Day. This might not seem like the most romantic event in the world, but it’s actually very fun and happy couples have a great time beating the hell out of each other with soft and fluffy pillows!

The event is held in Justin Herman Plaza each year, and of the pillow fighting starts promptly at 6 PM. The only rule that everyone must follow is you aren’t allowed to hit anybody that isn’t holding a pillow. So, if you’re in the mood to bop your partner over the head with a pillow on Valentine’s Day, then this is the perfect place to do it among other happy couples just like you.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are plenty of great things to do on Valentine’s Day in the beautiful city of San Francisco. Use these suggestions to have an amazing time with the love of your life.
